Hi, I’m Alexa Hart, and this is my blog. I’m a lover of life and a California native with a B.A. from UC Santa Barbara. Five months after moving to San Francisco and taking a job at a PR firm in fall of 2008, I decided that I wanted to travel through South America. So, I quit my job to follow one of my biggest passions in life: traveling. At a ripe young age, I have nothing holding me back, so why not dive into new cultural experiences?

My journey started on May 16, 2009 in Cusco, Peru, where I volunteered  and learned how to teach English to non-native speakers through Maximo Nivel.

After Peru, I headed to Asuncion, Paraguay to visit my high school foreign exchange sister and her family. Then, I ventured off to Buenos Aires and Uruguay. I’ll be coming back to the US at the end of October. There, I plan to get my life in order for my next adventure: Teaching in South Korea. After South Korea, who knows. I’ll either tour around other parts of Asia, South America or another part of the world. Or perhaps, start my own business, which has been a lifelong dream.

I’m hoping to document my travels and provide thoughtful insights through this blog, which I’ll update as often as I can. For more background info on me, feel free to visit my website at www.alexahart.com.
